5 must-do activities in April 2024 in Montreal

With the rising temperatures and the beautiful weather, April is definitely the month when going out with friends and family is becoming more and more frequent. Museums, restaurants, hidden bars, outdoor activities…, here are the 5 things to do in April in Montreal.

1. Dive into history with the immersive experience : horizon of Kheops, a journey in ancient Egypt

Equipped with a virtual reality headset, the experience takes you on a journey through ancient Egypt and the customs of the time. This expedition is full of scientific, cultural, and ethnological references to explore the era of the pharaohs.

Explore one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World—an archaeological treasure trove and a monumental testament to Egyptian architectural genius. Embark on an immersive journey through space and time to explore Egypt’s Giza Pyramid, the resting place of Pharaoh Khufu, constructed over 4,500 years ago in the 4th Dynasty and until now a forbidden realm to the public! The experience allows players to physically move and interact within a shared virtual reality space, providing a deeply emotional and engaging dive into the heart of Egyptian culture.

Well, this is not only a promise but what you are about to live but in a world of burlesque fantasy! Your favourite characters from the franchise will show you their spiciest side and most festive soul on the boards of a theatre.

4. Get your bike out and take advantage of the bike paths to visit the neighbourhoods

Vélo Montréal

With more than 900 km of bicycle paths, Montreal can boast of having become a true cycling city. From Hochelaga to Saint-Henri, from the Old Port to Jean Talon, or Outremont to Rosemont, numerous paths allow you to enjoy cycling in complete safety.

As summer approaches, hundreds of ads are placed on different platforms every year. If you want to buy a used bike for less, the Facebook Market or Kijiji of this world will make you happy. But be careful; you won’t be the only one.

Otherwise, stores like Décathlon or Canadian Tire offer bikes of all categories and for all prices. But there is competition, so I advise you to shop for your bike in advance or book it directly online.

5. A brunch at Antipode

Antipode Brunch Montreal

Antipode – If you’re looking for a tasty brunch with a relaxed atmosphere, Antipode on Rue Laurier is the place for you. This restaurant offers vegetarian options and original dishes, not to mention their creative lattes. I recommend their brunch menu with a wild mushroom poêlée and a red fruit smoothie bowl.
My advice: you’re here to try new things, so I recommend you try the lavender or pistachio lattes.

Adress: 1602 Avenue Laurier E, Montréal, QC H2J 1H9
